Using the Art of Tattooing to Enhance and Correct
For most people, the thought of tattooing your eyeliner sound so scary but it is actually a very easy procedure.
The skin on your eyelid is very thin and the numbing cream works amazingly well. Typically, you will only need to wait for about 10 minutes prior to the procedure.
Your eyes remain closed throughout the procedure. I stretch and support your eyelid holding it still and taunt. You don’t have to worry about accidentally blinking because I will hold your eyelid in place firmly. I gently lift the lash line back while still keeping your eye closed and supported. The pigment is applied with a machine and a cartridge needle; the needle is selected for your skin type and desired results. I use a slow back and forth motion beginning at the outer corner of the eye and slowly working my way in towards the inner corner. I use a saline solution to irrigate the eye area throughout the procedure. Depending on what look you want determines the length of the procedure. Most procedures take around one and a half hours from start to finish including numbing time and consultation.
Expect some slight tenderness and mild swelling post-procedure that typically last around 24 hours.
Post Procedure Care
After the procedure, an aftercare ointment is applied, you are given aftercare instructions, and an ointment to take home.
It is recommended that you gently wash the area with a mild soap. Create a lather in your hands and gently massage the eyes keeping them closed tight. Rinse with water pat dry with a paper towel and apply aftercare ointment using a Q-tip. Do this morning and evening.
